About stories in a box
Stories in a Box is a family owned and operated business. We are a happily married couple of many years who love children and to see them flourish. Tami and I, Larry Moore, each began our healthcare careers as an EMT . I upgraded and became a paramedic for a local private ambulance company and remained so until stage 5 kidney disease forced me to medically retire , total of 28 years in the EMS industry. Tami became a dispatcher and then soon graduated as LVN. Unfortunately she too had to medically retire due to an ongoing medical attention.
The Lord has blessed us with four amazing children,, two girls and two boys. Now all of them are full grown productive adults. Our two sons are currently both working as EMTs. The oldest son got married to a wonderful woman. One daughter works as a unit secretary in a long term care hospital and cares for her two children along with her wonderful husband. The youngest daughter works at our local Starbucks and cares for our three German shepherds, dogs are her passion. We currently have two very special young grandchildren who or are dear to our hearts.
We all have participated in working for non profit organizations to better our community. Tami and I have a history of working for our local youth football and cheerleading programs, worked at bingo halls and outdoor concerts. Our children have joined us in many of these charitable environments. As well as they have returned the service of being coached and have served as coaches for the local youth and high school football all and cheer programs.
Our family is a very active and strong family. We participate in a lot of camping and boating events. We attend our local church. Hosting large family get togethers is our speciality as well. During the summer months you can always find us in some kind of body of water, especially the pool. Our love and support is not just limited to our family. We are constantly having others join in our family festivities and special moments.
Our story inspiration
At Stories in a Box, our inspiration comes from a lifelong enjoyment of crafting creative stories, especially for children. We meticulously select subjects, envision engaging activities, and weave in elements that resonate with our personal passions. Principles and values that we cherish are also thoughtfully integrated into the storyline, ensuring each box delivers a meaningful experience.
Motivation behind the logo
We carefully chose the items in our logo. The book represents a completed story. Once you have received all the mailings you have a complete story, just like a book. When receiving and reading the stories the children become excited and are having fun. The shooting stars represent their imagination, creativity and dreams coming forth. As well they all have the potential to be stars in their own lives and possibly the world. The many colors are eye catching and are just plain fun and excitement. Our logo and slogan definitely represents the important facets of our family owned business.
